Habitorium survey respondents receive a small painting in the mail. Each painting illustrates a different habit and is sent with gratitude for the results. Sometimes the images for the paintings are drawn from a personal archive, but most often they are taken from vernacular photographs. Habits illustrated in the paintings can be sourced from survey replies or culled from found actions. The Habitorium is currently conducting a Survey of Bookish Habits. It is in part a response to resigning in protest from my job as a bookstore manager. The Habitorium has conducted three other surveys: the Joyful Habits Survey, the Gallery Going Habits Survey, and a Johnstown Habitus Survey.
