Survey of Bookish Habits

Bookish Habits have specific rhythms. They are beset with times beyond the now of reading. They promise to be read again. There is the time of the writing of the book, prior to reading. Fiction has its narrative time (or not), poetry its rhythms, and history its continuum. Are Bookish Habits transferrable, or are they are only useful in the worlds of books and bookishness?

This survey asks you to focus on how “bookishness” shows up in your gestures and intentions. Please be forthcoming about how you read, store, share and think about books. There are no right answers, and I’m interested in as much detail as you can muster. The Survey of Bookish Habits results will inform a series of paintings to be exhibited at Iamb in the Spring 2020.

Thank you for taking a few minutes to contribute to The Habitorium’s research. If you include your street address at the bottom of the survey The Habitorium will send you snail mail. Please complete this survey as fully as possible.
